William Carey
[1761-1834] William Carey was a giant in the history of missions. He served as a Baptist missionary to India, preaching the gospel and translating the Scripture into Bengali. John G. Paton
[1824-1907] John Paton was a Scottish Protestant missionary to the New Hebrides Islands (now Vanuatu). After ministering in the slums of Glasgow, he sailed to the island of Tanna, where he faced disease, cannibalism, and fierce opposition. After losing his wife and child, he persevered, later serving on Aniwa, where the islanders turned to Christ. His courage, faith, and translation of the New Testament into the local language left a lasting legacy of gospel witness in the South Pacific. Listen here.
